Phase 2

In Phase 2, I believe I persevered well and made noticeable progress, especially with Microsoft Excel and the topics on URL components and social engineering. At first, Excel felt a bit overwhelming, but assignments like A4 Fun with Functions and A5 More Fun with Functions helped me build confidence by allowing me to practice logical functions in a fun and interactive way. A6 Spreadsheet Analysis with Trailer really pushed me to apply critical thinking and data interpretation skills. I enjoyed being able to manipulate data and draw conclusions it made spreadsheets feel more powerful than I had realized before.

For Chapter 5, the lessons deepened my understanding of Excel’s analytical capabilities. I felt more engaged in this phase because the tasks had real-world relevance, which made the learning experience more meaningful and practical.

Outside of IS101-3205, I’ve already applied what I learned in Phase 2, especially with Pivot Tables. I used them to organize and analyze my personal expense data, which made it much easier to spot trends in my spending. Instead of going through rows manually, I could summarize everything by category and month with just a few clicks. Learning Pivot Tables has made Excel feel like a much more powerful tool, and I can see myself using it for budgeting, school projects, and even future job tasks that involve data analysis.

As we enter Phase 3, I’m committed to keep my mindset to excelling in them. I want to challenge myself by presenting a more polished presentation with Power Point. I see this next phase as an opportunity to showcase my creativity and growth.

  1. Hey Bezhan, Microsoft Excel required more practice to be comfortable than PowerPoint and Word. A4 - A6 definitely helped to be more confident in Excel's Functions.

    Good luck with your presentation.

  2. Hey Bezhan.

The usefulness of Excel in everyday life is going to be very helpful. I plan on creating a spreadsheet to keep track of subscriptions because I tend to forget what I'm paying for and it adds up. Phase 3 is just about done, keep up the hard work.

I hadn’t thought about adding a Pivot Table, but you’ve got me interested in trying it out now. I’ll definitely play around with it and see what else I can add. 6. Hey Bezhan,

I really enjoyed reading your Phase 2 reflection! It's impressive how you've not only grasped the concepts in Excel but also applied them to your personal life, like analyzing your expenses with Pivot Tables. It's a testament to how practical and powerful these tools can be.

Your experience with assignments like A4 and A5 mirrors mine; they were challenging at first but became more manageable with practice. A6, in particular, pushed me to think critically and interpret data more effectively.

Keep up the great work! ^-^

  7. Hi Bezhan! Most people tend to just stick with a regular Excel spreadsheet for budgeting, but I think it is really awesome that you took it a step further and started creating Pivot Tables out of it. That goes to show that you take something you had learned and use it to the fullest potential for your needs. I am really glad that you have found the confidence in using Excel in your personal life. Good luck with your improved slideshow presentation!

  8. Hii Bezhan! I honestly found Pivot Tables to be hard concept for me to understand, so for you to be able to use it is awesome! I agree, A4-A6 were a bit overwhelming, but I found them to be so helpful on reinforcing the concepts, so I am glad to hear that you found confidence through them. I can't wait to see what your presentation is like!

  9. Hey Bezhan, I really enjoyed A4 and A5, and I think part of it was watching the tasks turn green (which means they were correct). The mail merge was definitely the hardest assignment we had, but I’m glad we got through it. Props to you for doing a second presentation. Good luck!!

  10. I feel you on having to be more of a critical thinker when using Excel due to how complex some functions can get.

I enjoyed your PowerPoint presentation, it was interesting! I'm sure the drivers have to go through extensive training.

  13. Hi Bezhan, I think it's funny because I had it flipped. A4-A6 were harder and the LabSim assignments helped me understand better. But, you did good and succeeded and that is the most important part!
